Alan S. Zamosky, MBA, PhD
Executive Director
Alan joined the Alzheimer's Family Services Center as the Executive Director in January 2012. A licensed psychologist, Alan received his doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Pittsburgh and practiced as a psychologist for many years in a variety of settings. To bolster his management skills he then decided to pursue and complete graduate training in business administration from the University of New Hampshire. Since then, Alan has gained more than 20 years experience in the provision and management of behavioral health and community services in both for-profit and non-profit organizations. During that entire time he has managed or overseen the management of programs serving older adults. Alan, his wife Lisa and eight year old son Jacob came to California from New York where he worked as Assistant Executive Director for a large community service organization in Westchester. Prior to joining AFSC, he served as Chief Executive Officer for Jewish Family Services of Orange County.
Guita Sharifi, EA, PKE MBA
Director of Operations
Guita Sharifi, EA, PKE, MBA, joined AFSC as Director of Operations in August 2011. Guita has worked and volunteered in the non-profit sector since 2000. An impassioned volunteer, in her spare time she serves as treasurer on the board of directors for several non-profit community organizations, providing fiscal oversight. Prior to joining AFSC, Guita worked in executive level positions at several health care and non-profit organizations, including Western Youth Services and HeartSavers. Notable is her 8 years as CFO for Western Youth Services, one of the largest community mental health service providers for the Orange County Healthcare Agency. In this role, she managed operations, developed multiple government program operating budgets and prepared required reports, generated creative financing alternatives for program enhancements and/or expansions, and participated in extensive collaboration between agency management and the County. Guita's fiscal expertise and experience with multiple funding sources, including Medi-Cal, EPSDT, AB 3632, and state and local funding sources, are important to her position as AFSC's Director of Operations. Guita holds a master’s degree through the Presidents and Key Executives MBA program from Pepperdine University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Eastern Michigan University. She is also credentialed as an IRS Enrolled Agent.
Elizabeth Lee, MPA
Director of Day Services
Elizabeth Lee, MPA, Director of Day Services, oversees the daily operations of the center's adult day health care program, a role she has found much happiness in. Elizabeth originally joined Alzheimer's Family Services Center as the Manager of Development in July 2005. Always passionate about working with older adults, Elizabeth was especially touched by those affected by dementia at Alzheimer's Family Services Center. Drawn to work directly with participants, Elizabeth became the Manager of Program Services in July 2007, and was appointed Director of ADHC Services in March 2009. Elizabeth holds a Bachelor's degree in organizational leadership from Chapman University and a master's in public policy and administration with a specialization in gerontology from California State University, Long Beach.
