How To Give
Alzheimer's Family Services Center relies heavily on private funding to provide expert services that support quality of life in the community of people affected by Alzheimer's and another dementia. Private funding comes to us in various forms, including general donations, dollars raised through our fundraising events and annual campaign, foundation grants, corporate support, and bequests. Below are ways you can help support AFSC.
Gifting from the Heart Annual Campaign
Gifts made towards the annual campaign support families facing one of life's greatest challenges, Alzheimer's disease. Participants attending our center enjoy a day of care that includes socially and mentally stimulating activities. Just as importantly, caregivers receive a much-needed day of rest, and gain knowledge and coping skills through our education and support services.

Legacy Giving / Bequests
Legacy giving is a wonderful way to support the things you care about most, now and after you're gone. For many donors, it's also an important part of their estate planning. Whatever your reasons, creating a legacy gift for Alzheimer's Family Services Center provides vital funding for education and outreach, caregiver support and counseling, and quality adult day health care services - all designed to sustain families across the extended course of dementia.

Community Cents Program
Save money and give back to the Alzheimer’s Family Services Center with no additional outlay of funds. Merchants and businesses accepting credit cards using Community Cents can save money on their credit card transaction fees and support Alzheimer’s Family Services Center’s programs and services. Through a side-by-side, confidential, no obligation analysis, businesses will see how much they can save monthly and annually. A percentage of the reduced fees will be returned to the Alzheimer’s Family Service Center through Community cents. For more information, contact Anita Rodriguez-Lambert at (714) 593-9630 or alambert@afscenter.org.

Workplace Giving - Did you know that your employer may match your gift?
Many employers match their employees' gifts. Some employers may even double your contribution. Ask your employer for your company's form and submit it to the Alzheimer's Family Services Center to complete and return to maximize your gift! For your convenience, we have provided a list of known employers who match gifts. If your company is not listed, you may want to inquire with your human resources department.

Tributes and Memorials
Any gift to Alzheimer's Family Services Center may be given in tribute or memory of a loved one or in honor of a AFSC staff member or other friend or family member. Please provide the name of the honoree and an address to notify the honoree or deceased's family that the gift has been made.
Gifts of Stock
Donors who own stock that has significantly appreciated since purchasing it are able to give the stock to the Alzheimer's Family Services Center. This can result in a significant gift, an income tax deduction and avoidance of capital gains tax.
Donate Your Car
Do you have a car that you no longer want? Maybe an extra car, sitting in the driveway, that is beginning to rust. You no longer use it, but you still have to pay registration and insurance costs. Or you're planning on moving, and don't want to ship the car to your new home.
Cars 4 Causes, a 501(c)[3] non-profit organization, can help you donate your vehicle to Alzheimer's Family Services Center. Visit their web site at www.carsforcauses.org or call 1-800-766-CARE (2273).
