Caregiving Essentials - Offered monthly, this 3-hour workshop helps caregivers of loved ones with moderate to severe dementia reduce personal stress, tailor communication to the individual’s abilities, and manage difficult behaviors. Caregivers receive support from each other as they practice techniques and share experiences.

For Health Care Professionals

Physician Seminars - Expert physicians address the everyday difficulties doctors have in managing older adult patients with cognitive impairment. Doctors learn how to better identify dementia, benefits and side effects of anti-dementia medications, and community resources that can provide the support patients and caregivers need between visits. Presentations are offered over dinner at a local restaurant.

Health Care Professional Seminars - Seminars for nurses, social workers, and other allied health care professionals address a variety of topics, ranging from dementia treatment and care to family caregiving.
